 Parts certification

List of the spareparts certified by Centro Zaragoza.

This web site shows an updated list of spareparts certified by Centro Zaragoza. In this list we can choose among makes, models and names of the parts. The information provided refers to the part and is the next:

  • Class/kinds of certification and part's manufacturer. This information allows us to identify properly a certified part and the company that makes it.

  • Name of the certified part, that is to say, the type of part (front right wing, bonnet, etc.).

  • Make, model and version of the vehicle in which we can assemble the certified part and the instructions to do it.

  • Reference of the certified manufacturer's certified sparepart.

  • Comments. Remmarks about the certified part, that is, part modifications (marketing, manufacturing, price) againts constructor's information.

This list is continuously updated and includes the new certifications and the certifications that have been cancelled because they didn't keep the needed features to be a certified part.

Classes and kinds of certification.

Two classes of certification do exist for auto body spareparts, E class and D class. The requirements differencing them make reference to the kind of material used in the manufacture of the parts.

E class certified parts are manufactured with an equivalent quality material as the original car manufacturer, whereas D class part material is different, but their certification acknowledge that, that material is adequate for the part's functionality.

Three kinds of D class certificates do exist:

  • "NONGALVANISED" if the part to be certified is made of non galvanised steel and the manufacturer has used this kind of steel.

  • "STEEL PART" if the part to be certified is made of steel and the manufacturer has used another kind of material.

  • "ABS PART" if the part to be certified is made of ABS, and the manufacturer has used another kind of plastic.

Every certified part has the right to use a conformity mark, materialized in an adhesive label. E class certified parts will use a yellow coloured label, while D class ones will use a lilac label. You can read clearly the characteristic differencing it from the manufacturer's in the labels that identifies D class certification (lilac colour).

Reading the certification process.

According to the Spanish Language Royal Academy, one of the definitions of "certify" is to make something certain by means of a public instrument, so spreading and making publicly known to every sector where a given product has influence, that such product has certain features, is a must for any certifying firm.

The list that we present below are going to be one of the means that Centro Zaragoza, as a certifying company for body spareparts, is going to use to fulfil this obligation, and represents the last link of the certifying process.

The process to encourage the sparepart industry to reach a high quality level and to inform the users about what parts reach this level and what the prices are, is over when the lists are known. All this will lead to achieving a more transparent and more competitive market.
